This film reflects the musical fantasyland world and focuses on Charlie Bucket’s visit to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. What is the point here concerning that? There is an obvious reason this has been on our list. That’s nothing else.
There is also an updated Willy Wonka called “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” featuring Johnny Depp. I guess they didn’t want to give it the same name.
Fantasia (1940)

The first film we listed was “Fantasia.” This is a film that you’ll see on such lists. Fantasia is a film-based musical; the movie aims to visualize music. Instead of telling a story, the film has eight scenes accompanied by classical music. If you’re into stories and everything else, the film will likely not fit you well. It is likely this film will delight the sense of touch with visual and auditory stimuli.
My Neighbor Totoro (1988)
Japanese. 2hrs 25M IMDb. Director: Hayao Miyazaki. Stars: Hitoshi Takagi (voice), Noriko Hidaka(voice) and Chikashi Sakamoto(voice). Next up is a My Neighbour Toto. This is a Japanese film that was a huge hit. However, popularism has spread to many parts. While popular among anime fans, it has a reputation for its particular charm among non-anime fans. These films are animated fantasy stories. The story is about two girls, Satsuki and Mei, and their encounters with a friendly wood spirit. The original film was filmed in Japanese. But don’t be concerned; there’s dubbing in English since reading subtitles doesn’t always make for the best movies to watch on shrooms.
Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass (2010)
This film by Tim Burton is an imagining of a Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece, and has remained a staple of lists of movies you should watch when you are of age. 2010’s version (Through the Looking Glass) revolves around The movie begins with Alice Kingsleigh, 19, who returns looking through the mirrored lens into the trippy Underlands.
Throughout the entire movie, the young girl must find her way back through the rabbit hole, meeting many characters along the way, including Chesire Cat and the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp).
This might be the best movie to watch on shrooms as if one watches the film about the shroom, you may fall into an invisible rabbit hole yourself. The movie contains references to intoxicating substances, including hookah smoke and smoky cats. Then Alice must drink something unusual labelled ‘DRINK ME’ to enter this magical world. Being high on mushrooms only helps Alice in her travels.
Any Studio Ghibli Film
Studio Ghibli has become well known for its stunning animation style under his leadership. Ghibli movies feature natural beauty and breathtaking scenery and create magical environments that make you feel like you were there. Watching any Ghibli movie can take you on an early flight from Japan. Studio Ghibli films have the most enjoyable music scores and wonderful imagination creatures. While most options were good, the dust bunnies made My Neighbor Totoro an excellent option. Spirited Away takes you on an amazing trip through the spirits world.

It’s rare to see a beautiful scene like Pink Elephants at Parade. I this film, a titular character named “Dumbo” drinks champagne during the film. It will only be helped by the magic mushroom if possible. This heartwarming story is about one elephant whose oversized head is ridiculed. With the aid of a mouse, his talents can be realized at circuses. Is it an emotional thing? Is it possible? Once you go through the sad moments, the 1950 animation will keep your eyes on the screen. Fantasia 2000 (1999)

Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse (2018)
The new Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse completely changed the film design of Marvel. The animated film was a massive success partly because of the diversity of characters that depict Spider-Man and his crew as mixed young Brooklyners who learn about their hidden Spider abilities. The main character Miles Morales travels through time, learning that he isn’t the only Spiderman in the movie. The film was immediately a hit. It also carries a great animation effect. It has the typical comic book look – bright, lively lines that change throughout your watch.
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
One of the most sensational movies and a wonderful film; this list must have an eerie psychedelic classic. Based on Hunter S. Thompson’s 1971 novel, “The Mad” follows mad reporter Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and a psychotherapist (Benicio del Toro). Both embark on an epoch-driven bend fueled by ether and sunshine acid. While a bit weird, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas can lead to deep thoughts about life. While both protagonists experience incredible, mind-blowing experiences, you can have fun with them. Although wacky, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas could cause you to have a deeper sense of what is meant in life on this planet.
Fantastic Fungi (2019)
English 1h 21m IMDb Founder: Louie Schwartzberg. Talk about one of the best movies to watch on magic mushrooms. Previously, the discussion was divided into two categories: fiction and nonfiction. The most important thing was sense. Although not the most productive time to be creative, why do I learn something? If that idea is interesting, you could try Fantastic Fungi! These films are a documentary about fungis. Unlike others, they have much less tension, and are calmer and more peaceful. Not the best choice for tickling your senses, but it may help you understand psychedelic mushrooms better.
The story of Princess Kaguya (2013)
The film is released in Japan for the first time at 2h17mm iMDb’. ‘Chlo’ Grace Moretz. The english version features Mary Steenburgen & James Caan. You may not like watching movies anymore, but you may want to see another Ghibli film to watch. So it’s no problem. You need another. The film tells the story of a child born in bamboo sprites and her extraordinary life. The first movie appears to be about an ordinary story. But if you keep your eyes open, there are some unusual things going on there.
The Big Lebowski (1998)
Jeffrey Bridges plays Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski in the movie. He was mistaken for one of many millionaires named after him but had to pay back his owing debts. The film has many famous characters that are eccentric and strange. Some scenes are pretty trippy, especially the famous shot where the guy jumps down a bowling alley and into Rockettes’ arms in the final. These scenes only take thirty seconds. The Big Lebowski isn’t the best recommendation for tripping, but we think the Coen Brothers hits are a must-try.
Samsara (2011)
Samsara also appears on many lists when it comes to watching movies on magic mushrooms. This is a visually stunning film made exclusively from 70 mm film. The film combines nonverbally guided meditations lasting 1h45 mins to explore the sacred images of diverse countries around the globe. It starred Ron Fricke and spanned twenty-five countries over five seasons. This is a masterpiece and the perfect art for your trip. Occasionally there may need to be some pre-warning: some scenes depict something that may be distressing.
Thor (2011)
Directed by Kenneth Branagh. Most people who enjoy MCU movies know about it already. But if you like the MCU, you may know many films are gold and enjoyable. These are superhero films aimed at introducing the characters in a fictional story. This film is on the list because the film helps to meet the visual and auditory demands. If you haven’t already seen the film, you can skip it next time. There are no spoilers. Nonetheless, this movie ends quite positively; we like that.
Labyrinth (1986)
How do we even go out to labyrinths without watching the movies? Labyrinth is another cult classic that is most credited to David Bowie. In the movie, Sarah (played by Jennifer Connelly) must survive 13 months to protect her baby brother, who lies behind the wrath of the Goblin Kings (Bowie). It will be musical, the video sequence will be tacky, and the puppets will come. It’s certainly a film to be avoided when it comes to talking puppeteers. Prepare for the trip. Watch this if you want to sing along to the song, try solving the riddle.
In true Bowie fashion, this movie contains amazing sound design, great costumes and effects for when it was filmed. If you have not seen it, this is one of the best movies to watch while on magic mushrooms.
Loving Vincent (2017)
English (United Kingdom) 1h 34MIMDb Director: Dorota Kobiela Hugh Welchman Stars: Douglas Booth(voice). Many would have thought it would belong on the same list. This doesn’t seem right. But that’s also hardly true. It is the most artistic and aesthetically pleasing movie as it is a fully-painted animation movie. The visuals you want are worth considering. But it is about Vincent van Gogh who has trouble. As you’d expect from films involving the artist, this has a strong theme.
Interstellar (2014)
English. 3h 45m. IMDb. Director: Chris Nolan. Starring: Matthew McConaughey. Tell me the interstellar story. This is a science fiction movie that focuses on astronauts on a mission to save humans and planet earth from destruction. As one of the best movies of 2014, you have most likely seen it. But please let’s talk a little more about why we should add it. Several factors have put it on the list. The film provides the sound and visual sensations you want at this moment. Please look away to avoid spoilers.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988)
Is your life, in a nutshell, a little uncertain? So it is probably worth considering our next film. This film contains something. This comedy is an odd mystery. Tell me the story behind Roger Rabbit’s death. This film combines humans with cartoon figures. This is certainly one of the best movies to watch on shrooms – Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a very good movie. But there’s no limit. Probably no more visually appealing, but it still can give some soothing to the human mind.
Monsters University (2013)
This film was a sequel to 2001 World Hit Monsters, Inc. This film was produced in 2013. Pixar Animation Studios created the film using modern-day animations. The film’s sound design advances provide an even greater dimension to the overall experience. Bill & Ted face the music (2020)
This comedy film is recommended for fans of Bill & Teds Bogus Journey and the Excellent Journey, two prequel movies of the 2020 movies. Directed by Hayami Miyazaki. Stars: Daveigh Chase. Spirits of Away was a similar animated Fantasy movie. The film was widely recognized by studio director Ghibli and Tomato and other great filmmakers. It is a documentary describing Chihiro’s long journey in a spirit world. It might sound like the premise for a horror movie, but not an ideal film for shrooms. It’s not a horror movie. The film has an interesting storyline and great art.

Planet earth documentaries are some of the best movies to watch on shrooms as they can bring you across the globe to learn about many different animals, ecosystems and environments. They feature many stunning visual scenes.
Yellow Submarine (1968)
The Beatles fans? Are they a fan of The Beatles? So this is a good film. Next we can discuss the Yellow Submarine. These films are animated musicals.
