Microdosing Protocols


All members are expected to read and abide by the Code of Conduct. Violations can result in immediate and permanent loss of services.


We will work with individual members to determine the proper dosage and regimen for maximum benefits.

Typically, we recommend taking a microdose two times a week. If you have a typical workweek, we recommend taking your first weekly dose on Saturday morning and your second weekly dose late Tuesday afternoon.

This schedule allows you to take your microdoses in situations where you are likely to be at home and able to be aware of any unwanted effects.

The body quickly develops a tolerance for psilocybin. Taking psilocybin too often produces a rapidly diminishing effect. If you take a dose daily, the effect will be significantly reduced. This is why it is important to space out each dose by at least 2 days to ensure maximum benefits. We recommend the twice-weekly schedule as it is easy to remember and work into a routine.

After the first six weeks, you should have settled into the correct dose for you. You can then place an order for another 6 weeks or more at that level. After these 12 weeks of doses, you can consider taking a 1-2 week break and seeing how you feel.

At that point, if you wish to continue microdosing, you could do another 12-week course and then take another 1-2 week break to evaluate.


Psilocybin is non-toxic. Like cannabis, it is effectively impossible to die from a psilocybin overdose. A lethal dose would require eating several kilos of mushrooms at once. However, dosages of psilocybe mushrooms over 1000mg can produce profound psychedelic effects.

At microdose levels, psilocybin will not have any noticeable psychedelic effect and is considered one of the very safest drugs there is.

However, because psilocybin interacts with the serotonin system, you should exercise caution when combining psilocybin with other serotonergic substances.

While larger doses of psilocybe mushrooms are psychedelic and will definitely impair driving, microdoses should not affect your ability to drive or perform other tasks. However, we urge extreme caution and no driving for 4 hours after taking any microdoses during the first four weeks of your program as we adjust your dosage to the appropriate level.


Two of the most popular microdosing protocols are the Fadiman Protocol and the Stamets Stack Protocol. Both are named after their respective proponents: Dr. James Fadiman and Paul Stamets.

Fadiman Protocol

Origin: Dr. James Fadiman, a psychologist and researcher, is one of the pioneers of psychedelic research. His protocol is based on decades of observations and feedback from microdosers.


  • Dose: Take a microdose of the psychedelic substance.
  • Frequency: Once every three days (e.g., dose on Day 1, skip Day 2 and 3, dose on Day 4).
  • Duration: Continue for several weeks to observe effects and adjust as needed.

Benefits: The Fadiman Protocol allows the body and mind to rest and integrate the effects of the microdose, reducing the potential for tolerance build-up.

Stamets Stack Protocol

Origin: Paul Stamets, a renowned mycologist and advocate for the medicinal properties of mushrooms, proposed this protocol. It emphasizes the synergistic effects of combining psilocybin with other natural supplements.


  • Dose: Take a microdose of psilocybin mushrooms.
  • Additives: Combine with a larger dose of lion’s mane mushroom and niacin. Both are believed to enhance the neurogenerative effects of psilocybin.
  • Frequency: Five days on, two days off (e.g., dose for five consecutive days, then take two days off).
  • Duration: Continue for several weeks to observe effects and make adjustments as needed.

Benefits: The Stamets Stack aims to maximize neurogenesis (the formation of new neurons) and overall cognitive benefits by combining psilocybin with other natural compounds.

Why Trust These Protocols?

Respected figures in the psychedelic and mycological communities back the Fadiman and Stamets protocols. While scientific research on microdosing is still in its infancy, anecdotal reports and preliminary studies suggest potential cognitive and emotional benefits. Those interested in trying either protocol should do so with caution and awareness. It’s also essential to consult with a healthcare professional, especially if on medication or if there are underlying health concerns.

Everyone’s body and mind are unique, so individual experiences with microdosing can vary. It’s crucial to start with a low dose, monitor effects, and adjust as needed.


We will usually start patients on a low dose of 50mg psilocybe mushroom and then increase the dose to the appropriate level. Depending on body weight and other factors, the typical user will settle on a microdose level between 75mg and 200mg. However, some people will require a lower or higher dose.

We usually limit purchases to a 12-week supply, which is 24 doses.
